What is thought leadership, and why does it matter?

In a world where the term ‘Fake News’ has taken on a life of its own, it’s critically important for companies and brands, and those who run them, to be seen as a trusted, authentic sources of information. Credibility is key to build successful, influential thought leaders. You may capture many eyeballs by sharing provocative data, but if it can’t withstand scrutiny, it’ll do more to hurt your brand in the long run.

So what is a thought leader and why is thought leadership important?

A thought leader is a person or company that has earned their place as a credible voice of authority within an industry or area of interest. These influencers can set trends and guide markets with new and intriguing insights.

Thought leadership demonstrates your knowledge, competence, and credibility. It builds brand equity and compels decision makers into action, and it’s important to deliver consistently valuable information. To become a thought leader, we have to start with a solid foundation of useful information - asking the right questions to the right people at the right time.

In order to support our clients as they become thought leaders, Lab42 put together 2 Thought Leadership Research packages - a Semi-Annual Package (2x per year) and a Quarterly Package (4x per year) - to provide fresh insights throughout the year. Check out the one pager below for more information.
