PET SUPPLY & DEMAND

In 2012, Americans will spend an estimated $52.87 billion on pets. The biggest portion of that is food, but we can definitely see how that adds up, between new toys, trips to the vet, and doggie daycare. The Lab42 team has three dogs and a cat between us, and we know it’s worth it—there’s nothing quite like having that friend waiting for you when you get home every day.

We took a look at the shopping and spending habits of 500 US pet owners, and uncovered some facts about everything from daily deals to generic vs. name-brand food. We also took a look at some social media stats (we are Lab42, after all—it’s what we do!).

Take a look at the infographic, and tweet us at @Lab42Research to let us know what you found most surprising!
